Join the NAACP Town Hall Meeting to Help Shape an Equitable Economic Future for Alabama

[STATE OF ALABAMA] — The Alabama Conference of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) and the Mobile NAACP Unit #5044 are inviting all community members to a Town Hall meeting facilitated by the State of Alabama’s Office of Minority Affairs (“AOMA”). AOMA has commissioned a Procurement and a Quality of Life Study, jointly known as the State of Alabama Economic Growth Study.

The Town Hall will provide a virtual platform for community members to candidly share their experiences doing or attempting to do business with the State of Alabama, as well as perceptions of Alabama’s quality of life within various sectors. All community members are encouraged to be a part of this vital conversation to help shape Alabama’s economic landscape.

About the Studies:

The Procurement Study will serve as an objective research tool used to determine where economic growth opportunities exist for Minority and Women owned businesses (“MWBEs”) in the procurement of goods and services using state funds. The Quality of Life Study is a research tool to determine if there are any additional opportunities to increase access to economic growth for all racial and ethnic communities. The areas of interest are Education, Business Environment, Employment, Environment, Healthcare, Criminal Justice, Transportation, and Housing.
